Microwave for ice cream?

The user guide on this microwave oven suggests "reheating" to -10C for ice cream. Who's this made for? Eskimos?

Have you noticed icecream becomes harder once you keep it in your freezer? It won't be having the same softness and smoothness it had at the time you bought the icecream.Microwave helps to 'thaw' the icecream so that you can have the same smooth and soft icecream once again.
